My target audience will be able to relate to the language in my magazine. I feel the use of relaxed swearing, non-standerd and informal english i think someone who enjoys this kind of music(which contains alot of swearing in it anyway) will be able to enjoy the relaxed way how ive written my main story. Joe's interview is a relaxed question and answer way and does contain alot of slang and swearing with it.
I was showing people who would buy this genre of music and they agreed the way my magazine comes across as something they would buy is by my use of relaxed language, graphics, the layout, choice of bands and music and all sort of other things they could relate to. They wanted to read something fun and enjoyable not something that's too uptight and something with too much text. I used pull quotes and a large font to help make it more enjoyable to read.

Can you give some examples of your informal use of language? What sort of persona does the magazine tried to adopt in relation to the reader? Is the magazine like a sort of cool expert with more knowledge? Or is it like an excitable best friend explaining all the latest music? Also you need to consider how the magazine would attract the reader at point of sale. In order to do this you have to think about your cover in more detail: colour scheme cover lines, main image, masthead; why does this appear to your target readership?
